Now, some of you who know Carolyn of Baja Rosi’s, know how friendly she is. Here she is, within 15 minutes of arriving in Sarasota, making sug-ah with the Old Man with the Alligator (pardon me, I missed getting the Full Reptile in the photo: the old man has an alligator on a leash) He’s a Jack Dowd sculpture at the Art Center near downtown and our first photo op. It involved an illegal turn or two, but hey, anything for a Flamingoette!
Notice, especially, the chic footwear worn by our Canadian guest on her cross-continent voyage. Also notice the poor woman has not had food nor drink for a while, so we proceeded to The Hub for a $5 margarita and a fish taco or two.
Then I let the poor girl get some rest at the cottage colony. The manager said Cathy was due in as well; first I’d heard. My Kenny (as opposed to Patty’s Kenny who’s not coming sob) and Carolyn and I went out to dinner (scouting a location for Sunday’s brunch), Carolyn presented Kenny with Moose Droppings, we left her there at 10 PM, didn’t see a speck of Cathy…
Due in today, Tuesday: Patty, Nicky, Janis and the elusive Cathy….
Note to those who don’t visit Too Good to be Threw often enough to know what’s going on: a dozen resale / consignment owners are gathering for fun, frivolity (and education, Mr. IRS Man!) on Siesta Key, in Sarasota FL. We’re going to tour some resale and consignment shops, visit some “real” retailers to observe what they do, eatdrinkandbemerry, and even take turns leading discussions on store layout, staffing, advertising, and more. This all takes place over 6 days so I’ll keep you updated!
[…] all of a sudden I think the audience may need (those of you who were at my house last October for Flamingoville laughed that I already had a file going back then for this […]
