My, my. Doesn’t anyone in Aspen own a dictionary? I mean, I can understand the CPAs and government lawyers not understanding the concept of consignment, but perhaps one of the consignment shop owners in that state could send them a nice, gently-used dictionary so they can look up the word?
the act of entrusting goods to a dealer for sale, but retaining ownership of them until sold.
A stock of merchandise advanced to a dealer and located at his place of business, but with title remaining in the source of supply.
The placing of goods by the owner of the goods (the consignor) on the premises of another company (the consignee)
Goods that are in the hands of someone other than the owner for future sale
Consignment Inventory is inventory that is in the possession of the customer, but is still owned by the supplier.
Won’t someone tell Steve that he has unlawfully seized Sheri of Houston and Aspen’s mink coat (not to mention those second-hand hip huggers)? People go to jail for less.

Hi Kate, I actually read about this last night on the web. They said they could claim anything on the property (if it was owned by the consignment store or not)…..I was thinking….Those police cars/IRS vehicles that drove onto the property…they might as well sell those too (if that is the case).
A little far fetched my point, but they are saying that they will take anything on the property…
