Getting excited about NARTS Conference 2007? I am. Know what I do when I’m excited?
I make lists. Now my lists might be different from yours (I’m giving a workshop, presenting my Products at SourceMart on Sunday, and “reporting” to this blog and TGtbT’s Sharing all about the shops on the Bus Tour), but still.
So here’s one for Conference goers who want to get the most education out of Conference. It’s 4 weeks out, and here’s some things to do:
- Get your shop scrapbook together. Don’t have one? Well, make one! Need to take photos? Tips here and here. After Conference, use your scrapbook as reading material by your husband chair in the shop.
- Make sure you have enough business cards (100-200) to hand out and that they have complete info. Anyone whose card doesn’t have a state or area code or email address on it? Demerits direct from Auntie Kate. Order cards now, if need be, from someplace like Vistaprint.
- Find your chili pepper stuff now for Thursday evening’s informal get-together of TGtbT fans. Go all out. You’re among friends. See silly people with last year’s theme.
- Read up on how to get the most out of any meeting, Conference or just your local Chamber of Commerce.
Tune in later for more. See you soon! (Oops, you say, you didn’t think Conference was worth going to? Or you would if you could but you can’t?)
[…] you have the feeling you didn’t complete the 4 Weeks, 3 Weeks, or the 2 Weeks til Conference checklists, let me tell you, you’re not alone! […]

As anyone who’s spent any time at all on Sharing knows, Sarah is a dynamo…and a week ahead of the rest of us. That’s part of the 3 Weeks to Conference List! I look forward, especially, to the articles she’s found useful.
Now, Sarah, since you have time-shifted, can I have that extra week you’re not using? Sure could use it! 😉

I’m already packing! Luckily, as a Canadian the shopping in the States is killer cheap, so I’m going down with suitcases full of sharing material, and expecting to bring it back with loads of clothes and of course, stuff people shared with me.
In addition to Kate’s recommendation, I’m also bringing:
Copies of recent articles about our store & our press releases
Expired and redeemed coupons
Copies of articles I found useful in my business
Copies of my favourite business book
A special gift for Kate as a token of my thanks for the incredible TGTBT site!
