I was going through clothing catalogs today, and can’t help wondering: If those companies think it’s okay to charge 10% more for plus sizes than for missy sizes, why don’t they be honest entrepreneurs and charge 10% LESS for petites?
I mean, come ON. There’s a LOT less fabric in a 2 Petite than there is in a 12… and not THAT much more in a 1X than in that 12. Heck, the 2 Petite probably even requires one less button than the missy, and lord knows what with the price of buttons nowadays…
BTW: The ad’s from 1934. Doncha love it? Look close and you can see they ripped off my name.

If they charged less for less fabric the price of bathing suits would have to go WAY down.
Love the ad. We came across an old ad the other day for oatmeal, the selling point being that it’d make your kids husky!
