One of the catchier abbreviations used nowadays is TMI, too much information. It’s useful shorthand for things you’d rather not know, such as your brother-in-law’s weird sex habits. And sometimes, you get much more information than you bargained for, such as when you utter “how ya doin’?” to a shopper in your store.
