I absolutely ADORE these. And my adoration is not given lightly. They’re new, newsworthy, and a heck of a way to use up those slips that languish on your lingerie rack. Best of all, you probably have a customer, relative, or friend who would love to make them for your shop. Feathers, lace, patent leather, satin ribbons…what’s not to like?
Something new to wear…to buy…to sell!

OH MY GOSH! (banging my head against the wall!) I once was asked by an elderly man to look through his deceased wife’s closet and accept what I could for consignment. There wasn’t much in the closet, but her lingerie drawer was FULL of slips to which she’d added bead work, lace, funky fabric, etc., much like the ones Kate found.
I bought every one of them for myself, and even though I don’t wear dresses much, they look pretty folded in the drawer, and when I took the 52 item challenge I didn’t even consider getting rid of them.
I still smile when I think of that old woman with those works of art under her dresses, but I’m kicking myself for not copying her idea and making them to sell. Guess I’ll start watching for slips.
Are you kidding?
I still wear my slip… must be those grade school and high school uniforms I had to wear. Maybe I need to bead one … but my question is, do you wear a slip under your slip?
Okay, I need to get rid of this shop and break out the sewing machine obviously!! Sheesh over $200…WOW!
