Always meant to read the world’s first consignment shop mystery, but never got around to ordering it? Now you can read The Picker Who Perished: A Too Good to be Threw Consignment Shop Mystery, free, on-line. It’s right here. And you know free is your favorite price.
The police ruled it an accident, but Wendy Sam believes her friend was murdered. A cryptic list aims her into Ilene’s…and Sarasota’s… well-hidden past.
If you like, you can vote for it on the Authonomy web site.
And if reading it on your screen gets too uncomfortable (it’s 46 riveting, if I must say so myself, chapters), you can order it so you can cuddle it in your lap. Just ask Kate Holmes to autograph it for you so you have a collectible.
Yes, it is available as a product to sell in your shop as well…think it would make a good holiday gift purchase? Certainly won’t find it anywhere else in your town, not even WalMart.
Have fun reading it on Authonomy.com. I had fun writing it.

Kate, this is a GREAT story. You have done a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life. I love it. I couldn’t put the book down when I got mine! Please, please, please, figure out a way to write the next one!!! It is an absolute winner!!!
We love this book so much at our shop.
We cannot wait for the next edition
Hey, I’m cheap, just like Wendy Sam. Besides, my 1000 loyal fans have their autographed copies already…. email me and I’ll send you yours!
Actually, I adored writing this and would write more (it was planned as a series)… but producing and marketing the book was an experiment. Would consignment and resale shops, many of whom know me, think the book a fun thing to sell, to use as premium with purchase or as a door prize, or simply as a product that no one else in town would carry?
I learned my lesson: do something simply for your OWN enjoyment, don’t hold your breath thinking others, no matter how much you adore and cherish them, will find it valuable as well.
Heck yes link it!
Kate,
this is an interesting website, but why let people read it for free?
I should like to order an autographed copy please.
And if you like I will put a link on my blog so my 4 readers can see it.
