Well, it’s Wednesday and it’s really HARD not to get totally talked out before Kim, Marriette, Tanya,
Tracyk, and Julie arrive… but we’re keeping up our spirits here in Flamingoville, Home of the Non-Native species Consignment and Resale Shopkeepers!
We passed around photos and store floor plans just to familiarize ourselves with each others’ shops before going intensively into planning. We had lunch on the main drag in Siesta Village and flirted with passersby. We came in out of the rain which Nicky and Kate swore it was going to do any moment then of course it didn’t. We walked the beach and floated in the pool and had Italian for dinner.
But we DID work. We took an assortment of dollar-store finds and made individual lists of what they could be used for in the store….(look closely at one of the group shots and you’ll see Cathy guarding her answers) and came up with lots of ideas that’ll make us think differently next time we bargain shop!
