You simply MUST have these.

December 8, 2008 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

These are simply TOO cute. I can see these sock change purses as081208-sockchangepursedotcom the basis for an incredible consignment or resale shop New Year’s ad campaign, what with our normally-slow Januarys, and all the worries folks are having with their finances:

Socking it away with MyShop. It works both for shoppers, who will sock away their savings, and for suppliers, whose change purse can get plumper as they pass on, via your shop, previously-loved possessions.

Maybe:

Giant poster-board “replicas” of sock purses in your shop’s window. (Wouldn’t gold paint be cute for the clasps?)

A shop brochure full of Sock It Away tips, free, that has great money-saving tips that would appeal specifically to your clientele (a cinch to do with all the resources on the web.) What a terrific “let’s start 2009 off right” public relations coup. You could even get on radio shows with a handful of your cutest, most memorable tips, and say for more Sock It Away Tips, stop in at MyShop, 123 Main, where the savings are worth socking away!

Buy for $X (a healthy price)… or for $X (a substantial discount) with any purchase. (And of course, in full hometown-merchant mode, you will be making a present of some of these to your most vocal fans.

And have a “crazy socks” Saturday: Everyone who comes in gets their gams shot (via that digital camera you always keep handy), and you make a collage of Crazy Customers Twinkle-Toeing thru MyShop …

Or you could have a “Donate a Warm Pair of Socks to HomeTown Homeless Shelter” here at MyShop, and purchase a Sock It Away Change Purse for half-off. Or call it Warm Feet, Warm Hearts…..

Don’t forget to tuck a shiny penny in each purse (to give the recipient luck) and two of your business cards stamped on the back with your “I heart this shop…you will too!” (for the recipient to pass on…to bring your store luck!)

These are simply too cute. I couldn’t resist.

What a great idea! I love these and can’t wait to get some. I’ve already resquested wholesale info. Thanks for the lead.
