How to Manual goes GREEN!

April 10, 2009 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

man2009-screen-half Practicing what you preach is always a good thing. Well, in its 21st year of guiding resale, consignment, and thrift shops to better business, Too Good to be Threw, The Complete Operations Manual for Resale & Consignment Shops has gone greener!

Of course, TGtbT has always been the ULTIMATE GREEN: finding merchandise new homes without adding to the dangers of over-using resources. No manufacture involved, very minor local transport, no toxic dyes or waste produced when you recycle by resaling!

But we’re proud to announce that now, even the manual, shipping across continents and oceans, will have a smaller carbon footprint. The manual now weighs almost 30% less, for savings in fuel, emissions, and a whole lot of postal workers’ backs.bookcover

Same great info as last year’s 20th Anniversary Edition, with a “retro” cover based on our very first edition way back when.

And yes, the Manual still addresses not only womenswear and kids’ shops, but home decor, furniture, and home furnishings as well.

The only thing that’s lighter-weight is…the weight. Everything else is still there, still helping resale shopkeepers make their shops be all they dream it can be!

I think it’s great that the manual’s gone even greener.

I’d also like to assure you that my manual, for one, will never see a landfill, in case you had any worries about that.

And, I’d like to tell you how much I’m enjoying your new border. Some of the faces most dear to me appear there.
