Twitter for Resale & Consignment Shopkeepers

July 2, 2009 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

follow me on twitterI mentioned on Sharing that one should not fall headlong into Twittering without learning how to dip a toe in first. Well seems like that topic’s a hit with my readers, because they all want to know, now, without wading through a buncha stuff, how to jump right in (to continue the swimming-hole analogy…after all, it’s almost the 4th of July)!

What’s Twitter? Answered amusingly here. (I want to have Commoncraft’s baby.)

First, I twittered this site as having some good info: http://tinyurl.com/ideasfromkate

Then, I remembered I’d bookmarked some more info you might find helpful. A PDF you can print out and read in your favorite armchair tonight, Twitter from another business angle, and Twitter 101.

Make your Twitter page prettier with Twitbacks if you like. Learn more from an article Cynthia found for Sharers.

Once you’re comfy, here’s how to use Twitter Search. Imagine what this could do for your business. (I know, I know, you need a Personal Assistant to follow you around.)

And here’s the answer to something that I couldn’t find even in Twitter help:

What the # (hash mark) means

So what resources have you found to add to this? Leave a reply!

I borrowed the graphic from those nice guys at twooting.com. I hope they don’t mind.
