I've been meaning to tell you

Another “I’ve been meaning to tell you” post, where I direct you to folks who say what I’ve wanted to tell you, and say it better than me.

If you aren’t thrilled and excited to get a customer complaint in your consignment or resale shop, you should be.

Oh sure, it’s a trial and a blow to your ego and sometimes a royal pain (I’ll never forget the guy who set the pants I wouldn’t take back on fire) but it’s also a royal opportunity to see your business as others do.

And it’s true: for every customer who cares enough to complain, there are many many more who simply stop doing business with you (at best) or who are out there bad-mouthing some aspect of your operations.

Wouldn’t you rather know, so you have an opportunity to examine what might be a failure on your part?

Yeh. So hold your nose and open wide, Sean is gonna make you positively look forward to the opportunity to connect with a dissatisfied consignor, seller, or buyer.
