Will next November be GREAT for your consignment shop? »

Is there still time to improve your shop this year? You betcha.

What are they saying about YOUR consignment shop?Is there still time to improve your consignment or resale shop this year?

You betcha. Take the next few days to sit down and read. And make note of ideas that will work for your business…then plan to implement them!:

  • Read this blog. Try the sidebar too: you can click on those words and those categories to call up blog entries in various subjects (after all, there’s over 400 posts, and not all of them are brilliant.)
  • Learn how your potential customers think.
  • Find reviews on your business on the web. If they aren’t all you wish them to be, get some friends to add their more flattering reviews of your business.
  • Learn more about how to blog, how to Twitter, improve the appeal of your web site. Get a BIG pot of coffee and forgo the raucous New Year’s Eve parties. This is your investment in what happens in your business in 2010; won’t that be more fun than kissing ol’ “Uncle” Ralph at midnight?

And that’s just the stuff you can do sitting down at your computer. Imagine how your business could improve if you:

  • Organized your back room (is that where Mrs. Olympio’s darn green blouse has been all these months?)
  • Decided that this month, your winter clearance event and your season change would maximize traffic, attention and profits.
  • Planned ahead for success during your promotional events, sales, anniversary celebration this year, on your shop calendar ( 229 Promotional Events for Resale & Consignment Shops PLUS Promotions Step-by-Step and Promo with Pizzazz will get you started!)

Here’s the best way to use the last few days of 2009 to improve your career in 2010: Sit back with a few left-over Christmas cookies and dream about where you want your business to be on New Year’s Eve 2010. Go ahead, write it all down, no matter how far-fetched. Then spend your time and energy the next 12 months actively learning, planning and implementing the strategies that will fulfill that dream!
