Slow in your consignment shop? Go to the mall.

January 19, 2010 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Soul-sucking...but educational. One of the best things about being a resale shopkeeper is that so many lessons about your business are free.

So, if you have some free time, go to the mall. Get those free ideas. Then go home, and apply them…or apply the anti-mall idea.

Here, use this Too Good to be Threw free handout to examine and learn from all those “professional” stores. It was written for a Window Walk event which never came to be. But I think you’ll find it useful.

(BTW: Perseus, the guy I quote at the beginning of this booklet for consignment, thrift, and buy-outright shops? Learn about him. He didn’t really say that to me. I’m not THAT old.)

So tell us…did you learn something new at the “new” stores, and if so, what did you learn?
