Thinking outside the Box: Your Jewelry Showcase

January 23, 2010 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

You can do SO much more with your jewelry displays.

The delight of consignment and resale jewelry is also its curse.

After all, folks are shopping your place because they want something different.

But that very variety can make it really hard to create an under-glass display that pops them between the eyes and makes them covet!

So how to display a wonderful variety of personal adornments in your showcase and make it

Works in a drawer...works in a consignment shop showcase!

WOW I MUST HAVE THAT

An idea from Martha Stewart: Nestle jewelry in tea cups, saucers, Oriental sauce bowls…

Certainly a way to avoid the dreaded Sea of Sameness.

The Martha Stewart idea is here.

Thanks Diane, but it wasn’t me, it was Martha…or one of Martha’s little minions (what are minions, anyway, and where can I get me some?)….
It is a nice idea, though, isn’t it? The only thing I’d add, since we’re thinking of this in a showcase and not a drawer…is some risers, so the display has dimension and isn’t totally flat.

Great idea. I usually try to collect new and vintage teacups and saucers, and different bowls. To use them to store jewelry in my showcase, brings a new and different deminsion to it.I think it will show off the jewelry and a very interesting way. WAY TO GO KATE!

Love the tea cup and saucer look. And I know just where to find some.
