RoundUp of Fun Things for Consignment Shops

March 26, 2010 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Some ideas to make your consignment / resale shopkeeper week-end dreaming and planning a bit more interesting (and productive, perhaps.)

Wouldn’t round stickers, like the ones you get saying “I voted”, be fun to stick on your suppliers during the spring-rush intake? You could design them with a center message like “Life is Good” or and  I cleaned my closets &  MyShop’s selling them for me!

Need some Twitter-fuel, or an angle for your blog, a subject for an email or even a real

media ad?  Read these remarks by the under-30 set about resale shopping to see what appeals, what would catch your customers’ attention… things like

diversify your closet and

purge your inhibitions and

look for things that reflect your personality and curiosity

are a great start on a publicity campaign.

Has Spring come to your shop windows yet? (Or Halloween or Christmas…) A little paint, a lot of fun and word of mouth!
