Your Consignment / Resale Shop Wish List is WAY more important than you think. »

You got a logo…so use it!

August 15, 2010 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

A logo is designed to make your consignment or resale shop…even your thrift store…easily memorable.

So why not use it in as many ways as you can?

Why not remind your shops just exactly where they are?

Definitely on your rack signage. And on merchandise hangtags.

Include it on your name badges. Make a T-shirt out of it.

Sell picture frames? Fill them with your logo.

Put a logo sticker on the cover of the magazines by your companion seating.

Stamp craft paper with your logo to make earring cards and more.

Stencil a frieze on your wall, up where it meets the ceiling.

The most ambitious of us will stamp our dressing room curtains with it.

Etch your restroom mirror with it. Put it on your car.

And, of course, it needs to be where your customers will see it: inside your shop.use your shop name inside your shop

P.S. Going through all the example-photos I’ve collected, I think I’ll share them with you this coming week here on Auntie Kate the Blog. Stay tuned for some good, better, best examples. As well as some I’ve labeled “dull” and “duh.” Hope you make the good-better-best examples!

Interesting post, Kate. My wife Betsy has done one better in her search for branding. On a recent trip to Omaha, she had her logo and shop name “Bella Grande” tattooed on her ankle. Now, that is dedication!

    Regards,

    Alden~

We use our logo on business cards, hangtags, and of course Facebook and Twitter. We also have a frame that someone painted and put our logo in as a picture.

Thanks Ruth…the “idea for use” hangtag idea is explained, with some examples to get you started, at http://tgtbt.com/furniture.htm under the head “The One Best Thing”…and of course, they’re not for hard-goods selling only. Imagine a hangtag tied onto the sexy cocktail dress (Cocktails at the cabaret would be divine in this. Or dancing at Damien’s?) or on a Coach tote (Perfect for secret files concerning the hostile takeover…or for your diary.)

Wow, I have our logo on our business cards, brochures, letterhead, our front window, and my car. Never thought of our picture frames, brilliant!

Hang tags with our “idea for use” verbage would be great too. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hi Kate…one thing I would also suggest is “logo yourself”…I have used Lands End Business Outfitters for a few years and they are AWESOME. Our logo is “on file” and they allow you to return ANYTHING (even logo wear) if you don’t like it or it doesn’t fit!!! They are fast and their clothes last…not a salesgirl, just a fan!
