Earring cards and the Perceived Value of said earrings

March 14, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Really?

Consignment, resale, and thrift shop best-sellers: earrings!

Really? Is THIS what your earring selection looks like? What would you imagine the price range of these is? They’d better be cheap cheap cheap, huh?

Not really a great way to show your merchandise, I think.

How about…

Art paper and a subtle stamp cost a resale shop next to nothing but add Perceived Value

Now how much Perceived Value do these simple yet elegant earring cards add to this merchandise? It’s simply some art paper and a subtly-inked rubber stamp.

.

Or maybe…

Another way to add Perceived Value to resale shop jewelry

Ramp up the Perceived Value even further with eco-conscious labels.

Have we inspired you to add value to your jewelry (and dollars to your till)?

  • Under “Make your shop worthy of Word of Mouth” on our Womenswear Page, find the adhesive earring card backs you need.

More thoughts on Perceived Value, less about earrings 😉

    Completely agree.
Even when earrings are brought in new on the original cards – I remove them. Super simple to make using textured cardstock and hole punch. I use a heart, flower, or butterfly punch for the hole to tie the tag through, but there are hundreds of shapes to choose from. Learned this from one of my favorite booths at an antique mall. She uses a tiny angel punch on all tags and ribbon to secure them. More appealing than a price sticker. I’ve seen jewelry cards made from business cards also, which is cute to do every now and then, especially if you are going to take your wares to a spring craft fair.
