Who’s your Ideal Consignor…Donor…Seller?

March 17, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Who’s your Ideal Consignor…Donor…Seller?

And how do you attract her to your consignment, buy-outright resale, or NFP thrift store?

The ideal consignor or supplier for your resale shopWhere does she live? What does she read? How can you grab her attention and what will you tell her, when you have her attention?

What does she care about? Why would she bother bringing things to you? When could she?

What roadblocks does she see? What’s keeping her from bringing things in? How can you solve that for her?

Can she fit that table in her SUV? Will she ever be able to find time to recycle those 3T outfits or is it easier to throw them in the attic? Why should she bother consigning her excess Miu Mius when she can just give them to her maid?

And how can you attract that maid?

Just some questions to get you thinking today.

Thanks for the ideas…makes me think the ad in the swim team invitational wasn’t such a bad idea, it possibly attracted some people with older middle school age children ready to unload some princess/ lily Pulitzer /great items they were holding onto with the incentive of vacation money! Would love to do more with the incentive idea for kids, not sure how. Just ordered the selling book Auntie Kate can’t wait to start reading!!!!
