Simple resale display

July 23, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Getting ready for the busy back to school/ fall season?

Perhaps you’d like a few time-savers up your (resale, consignment, thrift store) sleeve.

Simple back to school display for any consignment, resale, or thrift shop

Here’s one: the horizontal pole display. This works suspended from the ceiling, as shown in this closed-back window display I snapped… or even against a wall with curtain rods and brackets. The clamps are standard ones you can find in any hardware store (remember, Shop Local!)

This works with kidswear, adult clothing, and even, of course, with domestic linens for you furniture resalers. (Mix it up with tablecloths, contrasting napkins, runners and placemats.)

Kate. I had to come up with something for a tv appearance that would set us apart Those are things we are constantly using with our customers especially when I do a fashion consultation.

Good point Tracy…..I have always said that we try to have Retail Worthy Displays at It’s So You Boutique…..but maybe we need to start saying Retail needs to have Resale Worthy Displays. Love it!!

Laurel, I lovelovelove the clip on your site, where you explain to your TV audience the 3 Fashion Forgets. Tell us more about how you use this in your business!

This is a great display idea, but how much better would those clothes look if they were steamed? Heading to my hardware store for some chains, poles & clamps…

You are so right. Perhaps we resalers could give the mall store, Gymboree, some pointers.

oh my goodness this is so cute!

Do you think it will work for large area rugs? We never know just what to do with them…

Jenni, as I recall from volunteer days, the clamps were used to hold rugs on heavy-duty rods… as long, of course, as the points of contact were padded.

I’m using this right now in my store to display purses!
