I want you to watch this video. Carefully.
Not only because it’s a nice, simple introduction to a unique concept (gathering all of one specific donated item in one place for marketing purposes) but mostly because it shows a store layout which I couldn’t capture for you with my still camera. It’s much more understandable in video.
Notice how that awkwardly-positioned pillar becomes an asset to the shop’s layout,
a hub of interest
when the surrounding area is set up as the spokes around the pillar… creating, in effect, 3 or 4 or 5 mini “departments.” If I am not mistaken, the still picture on your screen now shows exactly what I am talking about.
How could your shop use this idea? Would it be beneficial to your physical space,
even if you don’t have a roof support to deal with?
I’m guessing yes. I can almost see your brain aspiinin’…. how would you use this for your shop, your layout, your merchandise?
