A consignment check photo is worth a thousand words.

August 16, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

I think all of you consignment shop owners will agree that this is a powerful message to send. So why didn’t any of US think of it, like this shop did? (continue on, there’s more…)

Posting a photo of a consignment check on your resale shop Facebook or blog is sure to say a lot!

Butterfly's caption? If you consigned with us, today would be payday!!!

Just think, if you don’t issue consignor checks, what you could do with something like this…

* If you’re a buy-outright resale shop, how about the register tally showing you paid out $587 to people today? Or, with a willing and photogenic seller, a shot of her gloating over the cash she got (remember, get written permission to use her photo)?

* You’re a charity? A shot of the check you were able to give to the operations of your NFP. Or a (staged, if necessary) shot of luxe vehicles offloading luxe donations at your back door?

After all, especially on the web, a picture’s worth a thousand words… and a lot easier to post.

I had thought of doing this but figured there must be a good reason no one else had done it yet! I will do it tomorrow!

I think someone did something similar to this recently and I thought it was really neat…I think maybe Patty? I could be wrong. Anyway, they posted a picture of the payout sheet for the consignors after issuing the checks and it had the total paid out for that run of checks… it was a neat and powerful message!
