Spectacular and Cheap: The BEST Christmas Window This Year!

November 19, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

I love the infrequent posts over on swirlmarketing.com. I wish there were more. It’s just, well, it’s hard to get excited over a display window done by a shop with professional artists and budgets we’d hyperventilate over.

But this one. Ah, this one.

The basic ingredients are probably available in the smallest village (well. maybe the next town over.) All it takes is an artistic eye to placement and a single (repeat, single!!!) display.

Don’t you agree?

Simplest and most spectacular Christmas display window

The great photo’s here. I don’t know what store it is but thanks for the inspiration!

The picture of the snowflake window is from our old website but the snowflakes can still be ordered from our site at https://www.stickers4.com/seasons/christmas/snowflakes and from memory, I think we used a Bumper Pack 3 to create that display. I hope that helps.

Thanks Alex… these snowflakes are perfect all winter, too…. not just as a holiday decoration! Wish I had some for my PT Cruiser’s windows, down here in Florida… wouldn’t THAT be fun?

I would dearing love to do something that pretty. Dallas has a code compliance rle that you can’t have anything above the bottom 1/3 of a window – attached to the window. I had to remove $1500 worth of logo design or be fined – which is why our new log is hanging on a banner from the ceiling – it’s not attached to the window!

Well, Alice, I won’t go into my rant about how politicians are idiots ( see https://auntiekate.wordpress.com/2011/11/05/politicians/ ) nor how “codes” become laws (see CPSIA)… nor how we have to live our lives around those who feel they have a right to say what we do…

But I will say just one thing: take a look at the 2nd-from-the-right photo in the holiday header on this blog right now. Snowflakes look just as pretty, and take up just as little space, when they’re hung from the ceiling!

Hi Kate. So glad you like the display and thanks for the kind blog mention. You are so right about the brilliant simplicity of this display. I love it, too!
Keep up the good work with your blog and as always, stay display inspired!
    Take care.

Great idea! We ran with it today and created a window display. Not as beautiful as your pic, but we like it. I posted the pic to our Facebook page, album “Winter Windows” if you’d like to see our interpretation 🙂 Thanks Kate!

Here’s another angle on the window decal. This decal helps keeps birds from flying into your windows by reflecting ultra violet light! You could use these at home too!

Thanks, Dwight, for these links. I was thinking static cling, which has gotten to be so popular, you can even find them sometimes at dollar stores. I appreciate your Sharing!

Here is where this idea came from:

The company sells these window stickers, plus their web site has other window ideas!!

    Check it out!
