The officially unofficial pre-NARTS Conference get-together

April 28, 2012 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Too Good to be Threw will be at NARTS Conference 2012

Okay, a vote has been taken! The official annual unofficial gathering of TGtbT.com resalers at NARTS Conference will be ***Thursday at 6, hotel’s lobby bar*** Come as you are (well, theme-related accessories are encouraged!)… we’ll get (re)acquainted, then go en masse to the NARTS reception at 8.

The theme will be (drum roll here)

“The Future is Bright”

(oh, gypsy fortune tellers and crystal balls! Flowy colorful skirts and hoop earrings!) and our official unofficial hostesses will be Julie Jablonowski of Repeat Street and Deb McDaniel of Revente, Sidnancy and Revente’s Last Call. They’ll have name tags for you and introduce you around, so you’ll FEEL as welcome as you ARE! Join us! Little gifties, “Future”-related or not, are fun to hand around, if you so choose. The only thing that’s obligatory?

Meeting new friends!

See you there! I’m bringing my manager too, she is stoked, but scared to fly. I might have to pour her into bed at the end of the evening, she said she plans to start drinking before we get on the plane ~ at 11am. LOL!

I am a prospective consignment store owner and I am in the business plan development stage. I would like to attend the conference, but I would like some information as to what type of information/assistance I can expect to receive in helping me launch my startup. Thank you.

Hi Keisa, I think you’ll find that attending Conference before you open will save/make you many many times more money and time than you’ll spend. The official info on Conference is here: http://www.narts.org … And of course, the “type of information/assistance you can expect to receive” is truly up to YOU… everyone at Conference is more than willing to answer questions, offer advice, talk about things that worked and didn’t, for them… as long as you are open to conversation and sharing! For direct details simply contact the members of the Board of Directors listed on their site.
Hope to see you there. I’m the one with more advice than you really want…

I was really dissapointed when I found out how much the NARTS conference costs. I can not attend the whole time and thought the almost $500 fee was really high….I’m sure there are others who would come for a day if it did not cost so much…

Sorry, Jan, that the price is a concern. I will have some info to help you “make your own Conference” up on my web site closer to Conference. Perhaps that will be a good alternative! See this Facebook entry for the details: https://www.facebook.com/sarasotakate/posts/204993132950673 Bookmark the links I have there and check them in a few weeks. Sorry we’ll not get to meet you!

I’m excited…for years and years I’ve read as these plans are made, pouting because conference always fell during our family vacation. This year…vacation time had to be switched and I made reservations! Looking forward to putting names to faces.
