Actually, this post was inspired by
a typo in a Facebook comment by a resale shop owner. She was encouraging some “friend” to come over to the shop.
But isn’t that true? We do want folks to
Stop BUY the store.
That’s our professional interest in all social media, internet activity, advertising, newsletter producing… in short, in all our marketing, whatever form it takes.
What messages have you found the most effective in getting your shoppers to “stop buy”? Comment below, if you have any ideas to share.

I post “Quote(s) of the Day”. Customers say the best stuff in simple conversation. It’s easy to post on FB to let others know what our customers are actually saying, inspiring them to come back or come in for the first time!
Excellent idea, Stephanie. Thanks!
I do the same. Perhaps not every day, but Stephanie you are right. Our customrs say the best stuff in conversation…..especially children. One little boy said recently to his mom “I thought we were going shopping, what are we doing in somebody’s house”!
Linda, I see on your web site that you do nice vignettes of your furniture. What a cute “quote” from that kid!
If I can get a happy customer to let me take picture of here in something she bought at my shop I post it on my fb page and call her my latest “Cool Girl” (I make sure I have her or her mother’s permission first). I get a lot of likes on that kind of posting
Michele, glad to see you’ve gotten into CAPTIONS! They make all the difference when you’re wanting to tempt folks to stop buy, don’t they?
New Arrivals!!
Pictures on Facebook and an alert that there are TONS of new things to check out.
Thanks Jenni, I see you used that message just yesterday on your FB page!
