It’s beginning to look a lot like…. Back to School.

July 15, 2012 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Back to school shopping is easier, more fun, and less expensive at consignment, resale, and thrifts!

Back to School time is exciting for the kid in all of us, even if it’s been years since we hopped that school bus. New school supplies, new adventures, new friends… and of course, new clothes!

Get your shop

ready to win straight A’s

with this round-up of BTS ideas on TGtbT.com, The Premier Site for Resale Professionals.

And after you’re all fired up,

get your clientele excited as well,

by using a link to HowToConsign.com’s You, your kids and Back to School consumer article.

And don’t make the mistake of thinking just because you don’t carry clothing for the 16-&-unders that your shop doesn’t need to go all out to get customers in. Everyone, of any age, size, or scholarly pursuit, loves early fall clothes. Even the climate doesn’t matter.

Homes, too, can don their fall attire, so be sure to advertise, publicize, talk up all the wonderful fall0themed furnishings and decor items that can make your clients’ homes cozy and welcoming… from seasonal decorating items to richly-upholstered pieces, family-gathering necessities from a giant dining table to a gravy ladle, and luxurious jewel-toned pillows, candlesticks, artwork and throws.

Fall is the symbol of starting afresh, and you do want your neighbors and fellow citizens to look upon

resale as a fresh, refreshing start

to a new season, don’t you? What are you planning for Back to School season in your shop? Add a comment below!
