How do you get them to say nice things about you?

September 7, 2012 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Ask your customers for testimonials and reviewsGathering testimonials and good online reviews is hard nowadays. But it can be helpful to your business.

Just asking may not be enough. Maybe you could make it a competition?

One of my favorite blogs is Catching Fireflies, for a gift shop in Michigan. And they had a contest you might want to adapt for your shop.

Best thing you ever bought for your home from MyShop?

Best outfit I ever found at MyShop?

My kid’s favorite toy… How MyShop helped me ROCK (my party, my date, my decor…)

…you get the idea. Change it up to reflect your merchandise mix and your shop’s branding.

Oh, the idea? Here’s the contest idea. Don’t miss the poll, an added activity to get fans involved.

Love this idea! I’ve had a successful business for almost 15 years, but know I MUST go to the next level, which I should have, already. We are, just now, this month, going to social media, since I’m “older,” way too busy and was not born with a computer in my hand, although I use one 24/7! (My 2 year old grandson just taught me about my I Phone, since I was perplexed about how to do something on it! I can’t understand all that he says, but he knows how to use a computer and an I Phone! Wow! Am I smarter than a 2 year old? NO! Not at this!) At any rate, I just completed a seminar in Social Media at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart this week, and this idea goes, perfectly, with what I learned about Facebook, Twitter and blogs and incorporating them into the intergrated marketing plan! Thanks so much! I learn something every day from your comments and ideas!
