Brilliant Facebook Entries, 4th of July Edition

July 5, 2014 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

The best thing about using Facebook to keep your consignment, resale or thrift shop on people’s minds, is that

Auntie Kate loves how resale shopkeepers enjoy the 4th of July with their Facebook posts!it’s so timely.

Here are some shopkeeper examples I received in my news feed over the past few days of this Independence Day weekend. Looking forward to seeing yours, too! (Like Too Good to be Threw on Facebook… and HowToConsign’s Facebook page as well.)

Give ’em something they’ll need: This shop had a Facebook update that linked to their blog post on How to Remove Ketchup & Mustard Stains. Talk about timely! (And notice: the Facebook entry drives traffic to the shop’s site, which improves their search engine results with each and every click.)

Give ’em a recipe! Always a popular choice, and this local resale group found and posted a recipe that’s easy to do… and has over 10,000 shares, attesting to its potential as a social media star.

Give ’em something to talk about: Choose a likely topic for conversation during holiday get-togethers. This Facebook entry drives fans to the Pinterest collection and might entice viewers to have a look around there: An American Icon.

And this post’s not really about the 4th of July, but it does answer a nagging question: How can I solve this  problem? and at the same time, promotes a fellow resaler’s business.
