A social media promo they’ll look forward to!

November 1, 2016 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Is your shop hip to all the goings-on in your community? The concerts, block parties, theater performances, festivals? Maintaining a calendar of such events is a great way to get folks visiting your web site, seeing your branding, feeling connected to your business. And a fun way to get them SHOPPING is called

Wear THIS to THAT

So simple! A coordinated outfit from your shop that would be the perfect ensemble for the event. Post this on your blog and Facebook and Instagram on, perhaps, the Tuesday or Wednesday before a special weekend. Let’s see if I can show you an example or two…

Wear THIS to THAT: Thanksgiving Day Parade

If it’s the Thanksgiving Day Parade coming up, you could label this “Wear THIS to THAT“

Holiday Downtown Stroll: Wear THIS to THAT

Downtown Holiday Stroll? Be festive and comfy when you wear THIS to THAT!

Wear THIS to THAT: Modern Art Gallery Opening

Art Show Opening? Wear THIS to THAT and you’ll be a work of art yourself!

Of course, when you create you own outfits, you’ll brand your photos so folks know where to come shop, and you’ll link the local event to your text. My apologies to those shops whose photos I’ve used without credit. The last photo, though, I know ’cause it’s One More Time (I recognize the wall!)

See what this does?

  • Makes your shop a part of the community,
  • serves the community by helping publicize local happenings,
  • shows folks that your shop is the place to come to find just the right thing to wear…
  • and finally, introduces your shop to folks who hadn’t really THOUGHT about what you carry and how great they can look!
