Holiday Gift Ideas for your Consignment or Resale Shop

October 30, 2017 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Avocado tattoos, the perfect holiday gift in your consignment shop.Need some appealing and profitable gift items for the holiday season? I’m sure you have your favorite suppliers, but

here’s some for your consideration!

Personal products: These are gifts practically any body can use, and they make your store smell good in the meanwhile! Try a mix of holiday-themed fragrances now, expand later if it’s a good seller. The Soap Guy sells bath bombs, soap leaves, and loofah soap (!) plus the opportunity, if these prove a hit with your clientele, to order them with custom labels in the future…

Off-the-wall pick-up, impulse gifts more your shop’s style? Who could resist avocado tattoos? Tattly Designy Temporary Tattoos has these and more (did you see my philodendron tattoo at Conference? That was from them…) Good sales spiel: “These even fit inside a Christmas card for that little extra gift for faraway friends…”

I don’t really recommend holiday-themed items for resale, since they lose their value the closer to the holiday you get, but here’s a couple of cute and inexpensive ideas for gift-with-purchase offers: Christmas stockings, long-arm elves, and Santa hats of all types (including leopard-trimmed!)

And never forget to SHOP SMALL: Find etsy sellers who wholesale.

And don’t miss the lists of wholesalers recommended by your resale peers that we maintain on TGtbT for your year-round shopping pleasure. As with the above, be aware that I have not dealt directly with these companies, and cannot vouch for speedy accurate delivery and so on. Caveat emptor.
