What ARE they thinking?

December 6, 2017 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

The absolute best way to get your followers, fans, readers, customers to think of your shop

Checking her list? Help her check it OFF!is to figure out what they’re thinking now, and how your business can solve that need/ want/ wish. And December, full of events, gift-giving, family doings, is perfect for this! So let’s think about what they’re thinking about, and how we might solve their problem for them!

Maybe your followers are:

* Cleaning the guest room for Mom’s arrival?

If you want to stimulate incoming goods: “Bring us that extra lamp you stashed in there months ago…”
If you want to get these folks shopping, something like: “Freshen up the bedside table with a pretty vase/ flower arrangement/ throw pillows…”

* Hunting for the perfect little something for the neighbors/ home helpers?

Highlight one-size, neutral, NWT items (the kind you’ve gathered together in your swing shop. “We’ve got wallets, texting gloves, bath bombs and the most unique jewelry/ mufflers/ candy dishes…”

* Wracking their brains for just a little extra/ hostess gift/ stocking stuffer?

Take some photos of those wine charms, scented candles, nostalgic toys, books, collectibles and caption with “A gift as unique as your loved one…”

* Deciding what to wear to the office party/ Christmas Eve services/ New Year’s Eve blow-out?

Dress a mannequin or dress form in a complete, spectacular outfit for as many holiday events as you can imagine/ manage. Lovingly describe each piece, ending with “And there are hundreds more choices at MyShop…” Add always, always, signage which includes your shop name, tag, address, hours, web site.
