Make your location MEMORABLE, 12 months of the year.

May 29, 2018 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Now, in the first flush of summer, is the time to make your shopfront truly memorable.

When people SEE your location: do they REMEMBER it?

And, even better, tell their friends about it? Stop in just to say “How nice you’re making the neighborhood”? (I had folks stopping in to ask what those pretty flowers were.)*

Some memorable storefronts I’ve seen, to get your imagination soaring:

This shop didn’t have the space to do anything outside, so we used

a photo app instead to make their shop stand out.

Once Again Fort Myers FL

This shop wasn’t allowed to do much… so they stenciled their outside husband bench and added a eye-catching piece of merchandise or two.

Treasure Chest

Not husband chairs but kiddo-sized, and decorated to the shop theme/ name!Hug Bug MD

Sometimes simplest is best. A colorful bike and a window box.

Or mass a batch of season-appropriate colorful goods outside your door!

Nameless shop

A flag adds to this seasonal photo.

Village Vogue

This n That Thrift, not content with just polka dots, made sure to snap a photo when the beach umbrellas were up! Wish there had been a clown parade going by too. LOL

These two aren’t resale, but they’re so cute, imaginative, inexpensive and certainly memorable!

Can’t get a decent shot of your business? Hire an artist to create a sketch, add seasonal embellishments as you wish!

Artist's interpretation

Okay, now that you’re made your storefront eye-catching, catch a snap of it for use on your site and in your social media. Try it at various times of day, from different angles, with and without shoppers entering/ leaving. Repeat this for fall, winter, and spring, and you’ll have all four seasons in your files, ready to use for years to come… so when people see your social media mentions with a photo, they’ll remember your business!

*They were cosmos.

Cosmos grow easily on your consignment shop sidewalk and are WOM-worthy
