Expand their horizons

July 30, 2018 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Show weird decor items that most people wouldn’t dream of buying? Why not… have fun in your video!

A new way to get customers watching your Facebook Live videos…

combine education, selling…

and a teeny bit of controversy

that will get those comments HUMMING and some conversations going in your social media. Not to mention shares!

Your theme for your next video?

Expand My Horizons.

Create complete (and size-matched!) outfits, room vignettes, clusters of decor items on a tabletop or mantel, in a way the average person wouldn’t. Show it, talk about why it works, have a list prepared of each item and its price so you can read it out smoothly.

Maybe three scenes… depends on how long you like your live videos to be. Have fun with it.

Combining prints

Combining prints is one way to help your clientele expand their horizons. Tell them why this works!

Don’t be too serious, but seriously, throw a little fashion-forward advice in there. After all, you’re the expert! And, if you have an in-store personal shopper service, you can highlight that.

Close your video with something along the lines of:

We hope you’ve had as much fun exploring these “new horizons” as we did compiling them for you. Whether you want to stretch your style a bit, or simply pick up quality goods at real-life prices, {ShopName] is here for you at [address], [hours.}

PS: Those description/ price lists for your scenes? Post them as comments in your newsfeed asap after your video is done, for easy reference by your adoring public.
