Exceedingly Handy and Profit-Building Favorite Thing

June 24, 2009 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

photo from paperdirect.comI ran across these TakeOne Business Card Holders at Paperdirect.com and figured they were neat, attractive, inexpensive (about $1 apiece with shipping)…and could lead to all sorts of imaginative uses.

Use these in every dressing room, on the local grocery’s bulletin board (with personal approval of course) and events away from your shop. They’ll stand on a counter via little wings in the back, or you can push-pin them to an announcement board.

Why not turn your “How to Consign” or “Sell Us Your Stuff” brochure into a double-sided business card… or make up some cards listing “Our Hottest Sellers This Season” to encourage incoming of the things you most need…or use a business card to list upcoming shop or community events, make size charts so Mom remembers each kid’s sizes or a handy reference card for shoppers (European designer sizes vs. your country’s? Standard bed linen sizes?  Layette needs checklist?)

When you start getting creative, you’ll come up with some great wallet-size billboards for your shop. In fact, you might get SO excited that you’ll even consider this for those shoppers who stop by when you’re not open.

And, of course, Paperdirect has business cards out the wazoo to choose from, plain or fancy.
