Sunshine Girls (and Guys) at Sunset

June 26, 2009 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Gathering “in the hotel lobby bar” became a sunset gathering on tne spacious and beautiful lawn to watch the sunset over the mountains (well, okay, so we were facing east as Kim pointed out. It’s the thought that counts.)

Under a big sun balloon, Joe of Just for You Too and assorted Sharers rounded kim at desk FairTradeup chairs, Julie’s Brian made an emergency trip for name tags, and a good time was had by all. I was afraid everyone’d be talked out by the time the 8pm NARTS reception took place, but oh no. How could I be so naive? They were still going strong when I left after 3 hours…

Next up, Friday’s bus tour. And me figuring out how to get some photos from my new-ish camera onto this new and teeny netbook computer so I can SHARE with you.

Two cups of coffee later: as you can see I figured out the interface. No great shots of Thursday evening but here’s a shot from our foray out to Peoria AZ and Kim’s shop. That’s her wheeling and dealing. Shirley from Sharing in right foreground (and “real” customer to the left.) Don’t you love the hand-painted window mural behind Kim? It contains portraits of her late and her current pussy cats too. The dressing rooms have windows too… I’ll show that to you when I get back to my “home computer.”

Thanks Kate…Last night was great…!! It was nice meeting many people I have talked to quite a bit on the messsage board and finally can put faces with names. Also, we are able to do it at this beautiful hotel resort which is just amazing!! This is my first conference and will definitely not be my last. Can’t wait to hear where next years is going to be.

Thanks Kate! I appreciate the updates, even though I have to pull my bottom lip in so I can read them.
