Spreading good will via candy canes

December 5, 2009 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Sweets for the sweet...your sweet customer!Tucking an extra in your customers’ shopping bags is a nice gesture anytime, and especially during the holidays. It shows appreciation…and builds word-of-mouth. That’s the shop that put a little something in my bag I was telling you about.

Maybe a prewrapped candy cane with your biz card tied on with a bit of ribbon? An added touch that creates a touch of loyalty to your personable shop: Writing Happy Holidays & signing your card on the back.

Who knows, this might even turn into a every-holiday tradition for your shop, and your customers.

I have a Santa dish with candy canes on my counter for customer to help themselves. They love the treat. Also had suckers for Halloween, hearts for Valentines. Love the card idea also.

I love this idea….so I have punched some whole in the corner of my business card that has the 10% coupon on back, I have the ribbon and tomorrow AM stopping to get candy canes…I am gonna attach the card to the candy cane with the ribbon…I think I am going to take them around to all the businesses in the village as well as give them out at store and also keep a stock in my car for when I am out and about. 🙂 Thanks Kate.
