You know I think consignment, thrift, resale shops underutilize photos. I think every shop could use a lot more of them. On their sites, on their blogs, in Facebook (hey, whatever happened to flickr and twitpic?)
And you know I am a fan of words too. Captions add to the appeal…and usefulness…of pictures.

I’m a very visual person. I love seeing pictures of everything. My problem is, I feel like the pictures I take in my shop never do the shop or the items justice. I’ve been trying to do more pics on my facebook page, but I have a hard time posting a picture I don’t love.

Easy-peasy. Using picnik.com, upload a photo, then play 😉 I have the paid version which allows more fonts, etc, but try the freebie for a while. The chair photo, for example, first got its thought balloon, then the text within the balloon. Picnik’s also the place to correct photos you’ve taken: crop, color correct, lighten, and so on.
