If we are real lucky
(and good shopkeepers), our consignment, thrift or resale shop is always, and we do mean always don’t we, in need of a little tidying, rearranging, fixing. It’s tempting to just let a little disarray go, but there’s
a lot you can do in under five minutes.
Case in point:
Shelving unit with large vases on it has sold down somewhat, and there are “blank spots” which make the remaining stock look left-over, picked-over, less than appealing.
Within 5 minutes, we’ve filled in with more vases from another area and added some for-sale floral arrangements to not only fill in the blanks, but to add some visual interest…without upsetting the staff, who like everything in its place.
In barely more time than it took to walk by these shelves, we’ve refreshed and fixed it…. so the next shoppers can be as tempted as the earlier ones obviously were!
