5-Minute Fix: Fix your Location in their minds

June 8, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

If we are real lucky

(and good shopkeepers), our every contact with potential clients is reinforced by the info they need. Like our shop name, address, and a locator reminder. And it’s easy to do

in under five minutes.

For example, this collage of photos that greets you when you open jane’s web site (her live link on the HowToConsign Clickable Map & Directory.)

A smart way one consignment shop has of fixeing her shop's location in people's minds.

Can you guess that the address is 7 Spring Street, corner of Witherspoon, and that the shop's name is jane?

Reinforcing text (shop name, address) with photos will increase the retention rate of all your visitors, and is so easy to do! Something like this would make a terrific brochure cover, business card… heck, why not staff t-shirts to wear at the next community fest?

These snaps might be a snap to take… or to “make” with your favorite photo program.

And don’t forget, you can add text to photos and put them together in a collage with Picnik. We talked about that a while back.
