Deja Vuesday: When it’s not NICE to be FAIR

February 21, 2012 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

After all, some Auntie Kate messages are, ahem, Too Good to be Threw!

Deja Vuesday

where you can visit a gently-used, recycled, and even restyled blog post in case you missed it the first time. It’s even better the second time around.
Without further ado, for Deja Vuesday today may I present a post that I was reminded of, entitled “Another Way to Go Bankrupt”, the other day when I was watching a consignment shopkeeper try to explain to a new consignor just why she could not accept more items from the batch. “You can only bring in 5 items a week so everyone gets their chance.” This shopkeeper was trying to be fair. She thought she was being nice. Click the headline below to see why I say

Sometimes, being kind and nice and fair is just another way to go bankrupt.

Does it really say, “Except”? Does she mean to say she needs to reject at least 10 items. Too bad so many don’t get someone to proofread their grammar.

Sigh. Even today, a consignment shopkeeper has posted on her Facebook account “To be able to start an account i need to at least except 10 or more…”

Ah well. Not everyone agrees with me.
