I grieve for the fact that a good business was basically thrown on the trash heap.
As a resale/ consignment consultant, blogger, speaker and avid shopper, I have to agree with this writer. Every month I hear of a thrift shop closing, a resale shop shutting down, a consignment shop closing its doors. And I regret the waste.
As resale shopkeepers, we pride ourselves on being ecologically conscious. We recycle. We conserve. We find creative ways to reuse. We don’t wantonly toss something that’s a part of our past; we try to find a new life for it. Right?
So why don’t we think ahead about something we made: our businesses?
