If it weren’t for the mothers of the world, I truly believe there would be a lot less charity in the world.
Mothers drive the charity bus. They’re the backbones of most volunteer jobs, they’re the tireless workers for worthy causes, and they perform acts of kindness and charity without even, often, realizing that’s what they’re doing.
And those mothers who are responsible for consignment, resale, and thrift stores truly understand this.
There is not a for-profit resaler who doesn’t take the extra effort to match up what the shop has to give with local NFPs who need that exact thing.
And there’s not a nonprofit which doesn’t understand the value that for-profit resale stores bring to the used-merchandise marketplace. If you know of a charitable shop who could be doing more to make their cause truly benefit from all those resale mother shops out there, why not print out this free PDF from Too Good to be Threw for them: How NFPs Can Profit by Reaching out to Resale Peers
Kind of a Day-After Mother’s Day gift to them.

P.S. That’s not to say there aren’t many male persons who won’t ever be biological mothers, but who nevertheless “mother” others. And, of course, those females who are not currently mothers. EVERYONE can mother, not just those who give birth/ raise children. Yes. True. Granted. Obvious. So how come I didn’t get breakfast in bed and a macaroni necklace?
