Out & About: Pictures and Sofas

August 9, 2013 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Saw a good idea recently when I was out and about in Sarasota, something that could help those resale shopkeepers who are constantly (bless their hearts!) moving furniture and wall decor around.

Wall treatment for a resale furniture shop

Making a too-small picture look better over a for-sale sofa. See how the net ties the vignette together and makes both pieces of merchandise look better?

Here’s a similar idea:

Simple drape of sheer fabric for a resale vignette

I like this take on the idea even better… ’cause the sheer fabric can hide multiple nail holes if necessary!

For more ideas for your furniture/ hard goods consignment, resale or thrift shop, there’s The Resaler’s Guide to Furniture & Home Goods, a Product for the Professional Resaler, available Pretty Darn Quick here on the Too Good to be Threw web site.
