How often to send emails to your shop’s list.

September 22, 2013 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Good article on how often you can send emails to your mailing list without annoying them. And how many of these emails can be direct sales pitches without turning your followers off? The author stresses

Make your customer the hero/ine of your story!keeping your reader, subscriber or customer as the main character in your story

which is a great way to think about it! After all, we could all read endless emails about us and our lives and concerns, couldn’t we?

I think that I annoy my customers by sending emails too often. Now, I will follow your advice.

Thanks Sandy, for your comment. But heck, if every email you send those who wanted to get email from you, is interesting to them, informative, amusing… and if you allow them to unsubscribe when your emails stop being a welcome communication… then they should LOVE to hear from you!

Great info. I was just asking another shop owner the other day about this very topic.

Betty, I’m sure folks would like to hear what you two shopkeepers discussed and decided! Tell us if you’d like.
