What do office workers have in common with resale & consignment shops?
And here’s the punch line:
Not much, unfortunately.
What am I talking about? The fact that, with the possible exception of an hour after quitting time or a few Sunday afternoon hours, it’s really really hard for folks who work office hours to become loyal shoppers in most thrift, consignment, resale shops. Because you’re only open when they’re working, and when they’re not working, you’re not open.
Okay, I know, you’re not a 24/7 business. Nor need you be… if you
seize the shoppertunity

SHUT UP! (i mean that with all due respect…of course) i love this idea…i’m very new but have already met my peers in the area & this could be a brilliant way to build our relationships even more…support, eat, shop…BRILLIANT!

i find that this is also true of one another…we (shop owners) are generally open the same day/hours…so tough to get my SHOP ON! i find that customers are so appreciative if i’m open one night & a holiday…and really, happy customers = happy sales…

Jackie, I know how you feel about resalers not being able to visit one another! Our local group solved that by having get-togethers for each other every month… kinda like a progressive dinner party!
