Buy your consignment shop a present… »

Does YOUR Santa have a workshop?

November 19, 2013 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Now, your family and friends are probably really supportive of your consignment or resale shop, but would they think to make (literally, MAKE!) your holiday gift from them…

something for your shop?

Probably not. Unless you steer Santa to the how-to’s of making you this “roulette wheel” that you’ll use forever as a fun and memorable way to increase sales during a promotional event in your shop (note that it’s got a dry-erase face so you can switch it up for your next event!)

Win a prize wheel for your consignment or resale shop

Is there a Handy Santa who loves you? Click for how to DIH (“do it him/herself”!)

You could have your attendees spin for a gift-with-purchase like winning:

  • Earrings
  • Soy candle
  • Take 10% off
  • 3rd item half-off
  • Free scarf (or any item you have or purchase to give away: furniture polish, board books, socks, candy bar, hand lotion, carnation, you get the idea)

The prizes needn’t be expensive. You can even mark a few triangles with “Spin again” or “you win a free bag of dust bunnies!”

Want to make it a little less whimsical and a little more rewarding? Mark a triangle or two with $10 store gift certificate… and simply dry-erase that out and replace with another “prize” on that triangle when you’ve given away all you want to.

Brilliant tutorial from Doodle Craft.

The brilliant ideas just keep on coming Auntie Kate! I must say as a newbie shopkeeper how much you are appreciated. My creative juices don’t flow like yours. Something like the wheel just adds to the fun of shopping. Wish I could just buy one like it though.

Marilyn, thanks for commenting. You probably can buy a wheel like this and then just cover with “whitebard” contact paper or something of the sort so you can add your own prizes…
