Wouldn’t you love a blogger like this?

Bloggers can be a great boost to your consignment, resale or thrift shop market visibility

Bloggers can be a great boost to your consignment, resale or thrift shop

Ran across a nicely-done blog piece about furnishing an apartment with resale finds. Wouldn’t you love to find a blogger like this?

Chances are, there are “bargain” or “fashion” or “lifestyle”- themed blogs active in your area. Some of these bloggers have large followings, others not so large. But publicity is always good no matter the reach, and of course, you cross-promote one another. (Plus it feels good and earns your business recognition when you can post “As Seen in X Blog” everywhere from your brag wall to your social media!)

Read the blog post… doesn’t it make YOU want to go resale shopping right NOW? Or even better, find some fans-who-blog of your own?

Have your say: Have you found your local bloggers yet? How do you “care-and-feed” them? Any tips for helping them help your consignment, resale or thrift shop? Feel free to add a link to a blog entry about your shop, and comment on how it came about, what it did for your business, and how you created momentum with it. How did you use the publicity to boost your visibility? How did you follow up with the blogger? What fresh ideas did you feed her/him?
