People like pictures better than words. They relate to them. (Remember “Pat the Bunny?” We’re all little ones under our adult skins!) So why not SHOW rather than TELL consignors, sellers, and donors what you can use?
Here’s a clever way Crossroads Trading used a few years back to show their potential suppliers what they were taking/ what were the bestselling items they were looking for:

If this idea intrigues you, you can use it not only as a “trend board” for a specific year, but also for the always-challenging task of showing how Spring differs from Summer, and Fall from Winter. Bonus: These make great blog entries and Pinterest graphics.
How to do these easily? Try Polyvore. You could also, of course, make collages on Ribbet or PicMonkey. If you have other programs you like, please share in the comments below. Here’s a Polyvore graphic I made. It’s called “Incoming Season Overload: Be a SuperShopkeeper!”
The photo’s from my Too Good to be Threw secret stash of good ideas to share with you. Here’s what Crossroads is actually taking this Spring 2014. (Notice how they are now including their logo on their graphic. Good move for you, too!)
This was quick and easy for a 1st try – I will have to see what else we can do with this!
