Have yourselves an Elvish Little Christmas

November 24, 2015 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Moving an Elf on the Shelf around

your resale, thrift or consignment shop during the holidays can be a fun promotion, enhance your shoppers’ exploration of your shop, lead to merriment and make your social media lively, loving… and local.

Along with simply moving the elf, you could

have

an elf day: all staff wear (at least!) elf hats and have an elf gift or two, supplied by the shop, to bestow on random shoppers of their choice (thus giving your staff the Joy of Giving)…

a “you’re an elf too!” day where the shoppers can bring donations to your favorite charity, or choose an ornament off your tree for a monetary donation.

Not so keen on finding a place

for the dastardly doll every day? Buy one anyway, and snap shots of him/her/it around town to enhance your followers’ enjoyment of the season: The Elf Selfies could be snapped in front of your and other local businesses, the town Christmas tree, some splendid light displays, even at local charities to promote holiday donations (“The Elf says the Humane Society could use those threadbare towels you’ve been hoarding”, “The Elf’s baking cookies to take to the fire station”)

Enhance your Elf Visitation with a simple Foam-Core photo prop parents can use to snap photos:
