You Can Learn a Lot by Looking: Promoting Gift Cards

July 27, 2016 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

So I was in Jim’s Small Batch Bakery the other day and saw this for you. I also ate a Strawberry-Nectarine Upside Down Cake for you, so if it shows up on YOUR hips, too bad. It was worth every bite.

In our nonprofit Resale Shop that has a lot of antiques we could say something like “a 19th century French desk doesn’t fit in an envelope, but our gift cards do.”

Good Heidi… and you could make up a bunch of printed fold-over tie on cards (see http://tgtbt.com/furniture.htm ) on the most interesting things you have, that say “a ___________________ doesn’t fit in an envelope, but our gift cards do” to use starting November 1 for holiday marketing!

Thank you! That was an excellent idea! In any store! I work at a locally owned retail store. We promote gift cards, this is a great twist that we could use! God Bless you! I do all the social media for my friends store as well as work there.

Bless YOU, Marcy! There are so many small businesses in ned of someone who can do their social media for them, I’ve often thought of creating a new business just for that. (Hush, Kate, hush. Remember… you’re retired.)
